NBCA News

I joined several other representatives of NB sports organizations for a meeting with two different candidates of the upcoming Provincial election.

NB curling clubs have been trying to have property taxes eliminated or, at least, reduced. Although these candidates certainly didn’t make any promises, they appeared to be familiar with this request and “suggested”, in a roundabout way, that this could be up for discussion.

All curlers are urged to make known to their political candidates what it is the government could do to assist your club. (such as eliminate or reduce property taxes)

Also, you can refer to the e-mail below that was received from the Executive Director of Sport NB.

Regards, Marg – Marg Maranda, Executive Director New Brunswick Curling Association nbca@nb.sympatico.ca

Let all your members know that they can go to http://www.bcathletevoice.ca/Content/Thumbsup/Step-One.asp to create their e-card and http://www.facebook.com/#!/thumbsupforfundingsportinnb to become part of the Facebook page.
